Where the information comes from

Study records are written and updated by the study’s sponsor or principal investigator and published by a registry. They are responsible for their content and accuracy — not xMedica. We reproduce registry text as written and link to the original entry, which is always the authoritative copy.

A listing is not an endorsement

The presence of a study on this site does not mean it has been evaluated, verified, approved or recommended by xMedica. We do not vet studies, sponsors, investigators, sites, drugs or devices, and we do not rank studies by quality. Any ordering, badge or signal on this site is a navigational aid, not a judgement about a study’s merit or safety.

This is not medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and using it does not create a clinician–patient relationship. Always talk to a qualified health professional about your condition and about any study you are considering. Never delay or stop treatment because of something you read here.

Accuracy, completeness and timeliness

Records can be out of date. Sponsors update them at their own pace, and some are not confirmed for years — where that is the case we mark the record rather than let it read as current.
Our coverage is incomplete by nature: not every study is registered anywhere, not every registry is included, and our collection can lag behind the registries.
Recruitment status in particular changes faster than records do. A study shown as recruiting may have closed; confirm with the study team.

Claims by trial and site managers

A person may claim a study on xMedica as its trial manager or as a site manager. Our review of such a claim is an administrative check that the account is a plausible steward of that record — it is not a clinical, legal or regulatory verification, and it does not make us responsible for anything they say or do. Text a manager writes about their study or site is theirs, not ours.

Payment offers

Where a study is shown as offering payment, that reflects what its manager has stated on this site. It is a discretionary, non-binding statement of intent: the trial manager and its affiliates may decide, at their sole discretion and for any reason or none, to pay or not to pay, and to withhold, reduce or withdraw any payment. Nothing on this site is an offer, promise or guarantee of payment. xMedica never pays participants and never charges them.

Translation and summaries

To help you search across languages we may translate your query and present plain-language summaries of study text. These are aids, and they can be wrong or lose nuance. The original registry text prevails, and we always show you what was actually searched and link to the source.

Links to other sites

We link to registries and other external pages so you can check our work at the source. We do not control those sites and a link is not an endorsement of them, their content or their privacy practices.
